Mount Lebanon School District is celebrating a series of notable achievements and upcoming events as highlighted during the recent school board meeting. Among the standout moments, six students from the high school’s science program are set to compete at the state level after securing first place at the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science regional event. The students, including eighth graders Sanvi Banca, Colin Bozek, Liam Fury, Eli Lexus, Elena Raff, and seventh grader Alex Petri, will represent the district at Penn State University this May.
In addition to academic accolades, the district is gearing up for a vibrant arts scene, with Jefferson Middle School presenting "Frozen Junior" from March 20 to 22, and Mellon Middle School debuting "The Wizard of Oz Youth Edition" in April. Both productions promise to showcase the talents of local students and engage the community.

Furthermore, the district is accepting nominations for the 2025 Great Alumni Award until April 15. This award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to their communities, with winners to be honored at a special luncheon and during the homecoming football game.
Superintendent Dr. Fries provided updates on the district's commitment to inclusivity through the Levo United initiative.
