Bossier Parish celebrates outstanding elementary students with awards ceremony

During the Bossier Parish School Board's regular session on March 6, 2025, a highlight of the meeting was the recognition of outstanding students from various elementary schools across the district. The board welcomed representatives from schools including Apollo Elementary, Benton Intermediate, and Bossier Elementary, among others, to celebrate their achievements.

Students recognized included Hope McKenzie from Apollo Elementary, Abby Faulk from Benton Intermediate, and Wendy Espino from Bossier Elementary. The list continued with Liam Chavez from Central Park, Tyler Danaher from Curtis Elementary, and Noah Steele from Elm Grove Elementary. Other notable students included Rejoice from Haughton Elementary, Jaden Thomas from Kerr Elementary, and Micaiah Williams from Meadowview.

The recognition also featured Dorelaia Gil, the fifth-grade student of the year from Plain Dealing, Miles Johnson from Plantation Park, Colin Adkins from Princeton, and Carrington Brown from Stockwell Place Elementary. Olivia Todd represented Debbie T. Lewis, while Maxwell Johnson rounded out the group from Waller Elementary.

This event not only highlighted the academic achievements of these young students but also reinforced the school board's commitment to celebrating educational excellence within the community.
