City planners unveil Quarry and Robertson intersection redevelopment plans

Quincy’s Planning Board has taken significant steps toward enhancing traffic flow and safety in the city with the approval of a new development project during their March 19, 2025, meeting. The proposed project aims to transform a site currently featuring seven curb cuts into a more streamlined layout with only three access points, significantly reducing potential traffic conflicts.

The development will include a C-shaped building with 58 residential units and a total of 104 parking spaces, nearly two spaces per unit. This design not only accommodates residents but also includes dedicated areas for guest parking and deliveries, ensuring that all loading and unloading activities occur off the street. The project will also improve sight lines at the intersection of Quarry and Robertson Streets by setting the building back from the road and enhancing the landscaping.
