During the December 3rd, 2024 City Council meeting in Erlanger, Kentucky, the council celebrated the achievements of the Lloyd Memorial High School Marching Band, highlighting their impressive performance in various competitions throughout the season. The band has garnered significant accolades, including first place in Class AA at the Beachwood Festival of Bands, where they excelled in music, visual, and general effect categories. Additionally, they secured second place in Class AA and third overall at the Ryle Festival of Bands.

The band’s success continued at the South Laurel Competition, where they were recognized with multiple awards, including best guard and best percussion, and were named reserve grand champion. Their participation in the Kentucky Music Educators Association State Regional Competition resulted in a distinguished rating and third place, allowing them to advance to the State Semi-Finals at Christian Academy in Louisville.

In October, the Lloyd Memorial High School Marching Band competed in the State Marching Band Championships semi-finals, achieving another distinguished rating. They concluded their season by placing fifth overall at the State Finals held at the University of Louisville, further solidifying their reputation for excellence.

In recognition of their hard work and dedication, Mayor Jessica Feddy proclaimed December 4, 2024, as Lloyd High School Marching Band Day in Erlanger. This proclamation serves to honor the band’s commitment to their craft and their representation of the school and community. The city council's acknowledgment of the band’s accomplishments reflects the community's pride and support for local youth initiatives.
