Citrus County's Tourist Development Council highlighted significant strides in marketing efforts during their recent meeting on November 13, 2024. The council reported impressive results from various digital and broadcast partnerships aimed at boosting tourism in the region.
One of the standout initiatives was a digital partnership with OrlandoAttractions.com, targeting the UK audience. This collaboration generated 15,802 impressions and 3,790 page views, showcasing the effectiveness of the campaign in reaching potential visitors.
In addition to digital efforts, the council discussed a successful partnership with WFLA, which included a weather cam sponsorship. This initiative achieved over 2.8 million impressions and more than 11,700 clicks, resulting in a click-through rate of 0.14%. The cost per click was reported at $2.08, indicating a strong return on investment. Notably, the campaign also featured a connected TV component, achieving a remarkable view completion rate of 95.65%, surpassing industry benchmarks.
The council also mentioned a partnership with Florida Insider Fishing Reports, which provided 186 hours of airtime from April to September 2024, further enhancing the county's visibility.
Print advertising was not overlooked, with a full-page ad in the Good Sam Campground guide reaching 300,000 printed copies, alongside digital exposure on their website. The council is optimistic about the refreshed creative for the 2024 Visit Florida vacation guide, which is expected to attract even more visitors.
