Chesapeake Beach is set to enhance its internet infrastructure significantly after a recent Town Council meeting where plans for a new fiber optic network were discussed. The proposed project, spearheaded by IQ Fiber, aims to provide high-speed internet access to residents, with the first customers expected to receive service within six months of finalizing agreements and permits.

During the meeting, representatives from IQ Fiber outlined a three-phase construction plan that will unfold over 18 months.
