Tomball ISD board accepts $200K health grant and approves key contracts

The Tomball Independent School District (TISD) Board of Trustees held a productive meeting on March 19, 2025, addressing several key initiatives that will directly benefit students and the community.

One of the most significant decisions made during the meeting was the acceptance of a $200,000 grant from the Tomball Regional Health Foundation. This funding will support campus-based behavioral health initiatives, a critical area of focus as schools increasingly recognize the importance of mental health services for students. Further discussions included the approval of general liability and automobile liability insurance, as well as the awarding of a contract for show animals for the FFA project, totaling $334,000. This contract will be funded through campus activity funds and is set to run until December 31, 2028.
