Cool Springs Conference Center outlines fiscal updates and renovation plans

The Cool Springs Conference Center is set for a major facelift, as revealed during the recent Budget and Finance Committee meeting in Franklin. General Manager Matthew Leif presented an optimistic budget update, highlighting the center's impressive profitability over the past 25 years, which has generated over $4 million for the city.

Despite facing challenges during the pandemic, the center rebounded in 2022 with a record year, although 2023 has seen a slight decline. Leif detailed ongoing renovations, including the replacement of aging mechanical systems and a comprehensive aesthetic overhaul planned for August. This renovation will refresh the center's carpets, wall vinyl, and lighting, ensuring it remains a premier venue in Williamson County.

The meeting also touched on the financial structure of the center, noting that operational costs are shared with the adjacent Marriott hotel, which supports the conference center's group business. With these upgrades, the Cool Springs Conference Center aims to enhance its service and maintain its status as a key asset for the city.
