During the swearing-in ceremony, Chief Hill praised Benson's commitment and hard work, highlighting his educational background, which includes a bachelor's degree from Eastern Kentucky University and a master's degree from Indiana State University in criminal justice. Benson has also contributed to the community as a part-time faculty member at Sinclair Community College.
