Westerville City Schools honors exceptional staff at A plus awards ceremony

The Westerville City School District celebrated its commitment to excellence in education during the recent Board of Education meeting, where several outstanding staff members were honored with A Plus Awards. This biannual event recognizes employees who demonstrate exceptional performance and embody the district's core values, including respect, inclusiveness, and innovation.

Among the award recipients was Tommy Brown, a bus driver whose dedication to creating a safe and welcoming environment for students earned him nominations from six parents. His compassionate approach reassured families, particularly those with children who have special needs, highlighting his commitment to nurturing a supportive atmosphere.

Molly Sparks, a teacher from Minerva France Elementary, was also recognized for her dedication to her students.
