The Fairborn City Schools Board of Education convened on December 5, 2024, to discuss several key topics, including the acknowledgment of community donations and adjustments to upcoming board meetings.

During the meeting, the board expressed gratitude for various gifts and donations received from local organizations and community members. Notable contributions included food for the Hawks Pantry from City Church, a $500 gift card from City of Fairborn employees, and $2,000 donations for the Ron McDermott Scholarship Fund from Joyce Dennis and Kirk and Amy Gayheart. The First Presbyterian Church also donated winter clothing for Fairborn Primary students, while Reese Distributing provided food for the Fairborn Middle School Thanksgiving Feast.
