John McIntyre Elementary School celebrated a remarkable year in robotics during the Zanesville City Schools Board Meeting on April 16, 2024. Principal Stacy Moller, who is set to retire, was honored for her dedication to the school and its students.

The highlight of the evening was the recognition of four outstanding robotics teams from John McIntyre. These teams have achieved significant milestones, including being named teamwork challenge champions and earning various design and excellence awards. Notably, they have qualified for both state and world competitions, with the world qualifiers set to take place in Dallas, Texas, from May 1 to May 3.

Each team was introduced, showcasing their creativity and hard work. Team 412A, known as the Legendary Pickle, Team 412B, the Bot Buddies, Team 412C, the Flying Squirrels, and Team 412D, CR7, all received applause for their accomplishments. Coaches Stacy Moller and Tristan Tucker, along with volunteers, were also recognized for their contributions.

As a farewell gesture, students presented Moller with a card signed by team members and a small token of appreciation for her years of service. The evening concluded with a demonstration of the students' robots, highlighting their innovative designs and capabilities.

This celebration not only marked the achievements of the students but also underscored the supportive community at John McIntyre Elementary, leaving a lasting impact as Moller prepares for her retirement.
