Stafford's Economic Development Corporation is making significant strides in transforming a 192-acre site into a vibrant hub for dining, retail, and residential living. During a recent meeting on March 25, 2025, officials highlighted the successful rezoning efforts that have allowed for the addition of residential units and numerous restaurants, which are expected to draw both local and out-of-town visitors.
The project, often compared in size to Disneyland, has seen an investment of approximately $24.8 million in infrastructure improvements, funded primarily through a defined area tax that has alleviated the financial burden on Stafford's citizens. This investment is projected to generate substantial sales tax revenue, benefiting the city financially. Currently, the site boasts 20 restaurants and is on track to increase its taxable value from $442 million in 2024 to an estimated $589 million in 2025.
