The City Council of Perris convened on March 25, 2025, to recognize the achievements of local high school girls wrestling teams from Orange Vista High School and Perris High School. Coach Jesus Rivera led the team, which boasted four athletes who qualified for state competition, making them the only team in the Southern Section to have three medalists. Notable individual performances included Zaira Stewart, who earned the title of state champion, and Ayanna Contreras, who finished as a fifth state masters champion and CIF runner-up. Tiffany Bell and Yaneli Puga also received recognition for their achievements, with Bell ranking in the top 12 at state and Puga qualifying for masters.

This season marked a historic milestone as Aurora Gonzalez became the first girl from Perris High to qualify for state. Gonzalez's accomplishments included being a state qualifier and a CIF champion.
