Scott Perlick partners with New Richmond couple to open tasting room

A new distillery is set to make its mark in New Richmond, as local entrepreneurs Kevin and Shauna team up with Scott Perlick of Perlick Distillery to replicate a successful tasting room concept. During the recent Regular Council meeting, Perlick shared his vision for the new venture, inspired by his own distillery's decade-long success in Little, Wisconsin.

Perlick, who operates a 2,000-acre farm and distillery, emphasized the importance of local connections and community involvement. "We've been in the area for 24 years," he noted, highlighting his family's deep roots in New Richmond. The new tasting room aims to create a welcoming atmosphere without the distractions of TVs, focusing instead on quality interactions and unique cocktails, including a popular maple syrup-flavored vodka.

The initiative comes on the heels of recent changes to Wisconsin liquor laws, allowing distilleries to open additional retail locations. Perlick sees this as an opportunity to not only expand his brand but also to enhance the local economy by attracting visitors and fostering community engagement.

The council expressed enthusiasm for the project, with Mayor and council members offering their support. As the tasting room prepares to open, it promises to be a vibrant addition to New Richmond's local business landscape, inviting residents and visitors alike to enjoy a taste of locally crafted spirits.
