A notable moment was the presentation of a plaque with the message "Be the heart behind the badge," which will be displayed in the police department to symbolize the department's dedication to serving the community.

The police department reported impressive fundraising efforts, collecting over $200,000 through various events. One standout initiative was the "Cops and Callers" event, where officers engaged with the community to raise funds for those in need. The department achieved second place in fundraising at the West Hill Boulevard location, showcasing their effective outreach and community involvement.

In addition to fundraising, the department received $2,500 in gift cards from local businesses, including Quick Trip, Walmart, Culver's, and Festival Foods, to distribute to citizens facing financial hardships. This initiative aims to provide immediate assistance to families in need within the community.

Furthermore, the police department plans to support local families during the holiday season by providing $250 to selected families from each elementary and middle school, as well as one from the high school.
