Central High celebrates spring sports and academic achievements ahead of prom

The Naperville CUSD 203 Board Meeting on March 24, 2025, highlighted several exciting developments and events for students at Central High School, showcasing a vibrant school community as the academic year approaches its conclusion.

As the school year winds down, seniors are gearing up for significant milestones, including their recent cap and gown pickup and the upcoming senior party. These events mark a celebratory transition for students, emphasizing the importance of community and shared experiences in their final months of high school.

In sports, the winter season has concluded, paving the way for a promising spring. Both the boys' and girls' lacrosse teams have kicked off their seasons with impressive victories, winning their first two games. Additionally, the indoor track season saw the girls' team finish second at the DVC meet, while the boys' team claimed the conference championship, highlighting the athletic achievements of Central students.

The arts are also thriving, with the upcoming "Central's Got Talent" event set to showcase a variety of performances, including singing and acting, all hosted by student MCs. This event not only provides a platform for student creativity but also fosters a sense of community and school spirit.

Looking ahead, underclassmen will participate in state ACT and PACT testing after spring break, which is scheduled for April 26. This year’s prom theme, "Masquerade," was chosen by the junior class council, promising a memorable evening for students.

The academic achievements of students will be recognized at the upcoming academic award ceremony on April 16, celebrating the hard work and dedication of the student body. Additionally, the school is introducing a fun initiative during spring break, dubbed "duck break," where students and staff can take pictures with ducks, fostering engagement and creativity within the school community.
