Leavenworth Mayor Pittman proclaims Barbershop Harmony Month and Fair Housing Month

Leavenworth City Commission celebrated two significant proclamations during its regular meeting on March 25, 2025, highlighting the importance of community engagement and social equity.

Mayor Holly Pittman proclaimed April 2025 as Barbershop Harmony Month, recognizing the Barbershop Harmony Society's 87th anniversary and the Cody Corleers' 55 years of service in the Leavenworth area. The Cody Corleers, a local chapter, actively promotes music education in schools and entertains residents and visitors alike. In addition, the commission declared April 2025 as Fair Housing Month, commemorating 57 years since the Fair Housing Act was enacted.
