Jersey City Council honors Jolie Ariel Morales Johnson for Eagle Scout achievement

The Jersey City Municipal Council meeting on March 26, 2025, celebrated the remarkable achievement of local resident Jolie Ariel Morales Johnson, who was recognized for successfully passing the Eagle Board of Review, a significant milestone in the Boy Scouts of America.

Jolie, a Jersey City native, attended Learning Community Charter School and County Prep High School, and is currently a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is a member of Eagle Troop 327 from Trinity Parish in Bayonne, where she earned an impressive 31 merit badges throughout her scouting journey. The Eagle Scout award, the highest rank in scouting, is awarded to only about 5% of participants, highlighting the significance of Jolie's accomplishment.

Her Eagle Scout project involved constructing a free little library outside Joseph H. Brezinger Elementary School, aimed at promoting literacy and sharing her love for reading with the community. The library is expected to have a lasting impact on local residents.

During the meeting, council members expressed their admiration for Jolie's dedication and leadership skills. Councilperson Ridley emphasized the importance of voting on the resolution to commend Jolie, while other council members shared their congratulations and best wishes for her future endeavors.
