Subscribe for Free Riverton City also presented a request for $450,000 to install electric vehicle charging stations at its public works facility, with the total project cost estimated at $496,000. Salt Lake City proposed a carbon reduction initiative along the 9 Line Trail, requesting $592,000 of a $636,000 project aimed at improving environmental sustainability.
Additional requests included UDOT's proposal for improvements at the I-215 and Seventh North on-ramp, seeking $1 million of a $3.3 million project, and the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) requesting $10 million for transit improvements at Salt Lake Central, which includes a new parking garage and bus loop, with a total estimated cost of $55 million.
Sandy City and South Jordan also presented several projects, including intersection improvements and multi-use paths, with funding requests ranging from $3.9 million to over $5 million. Other notable requests included mobility improvements in South Salt Lake and West Valley City, focusing on bike lanes and pedestrian pathways.
The meeting underscored the ongoing efforts to enhance transportation infrastructure in the Salt Lake area, with a total of multiple funding requests aimed at improving mobility, sustainability, and accessibility for residents.
