The month kicks off with the Month of the Military Child celebration on April 1, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Daugherty Bowling Center. This event will include a proclamation signing, cake cutting, and giveaways, with opportunities for children to bowl for free. Adult bowling will be available for a nominal fee, and food and drinks will be offered at the snack bar.

Subscribe for Free On April 4, the Drew Pippen Youth Center will host an open house and talent show from 4:30 PM to 6 PM, welcoming students in grades 6 through 12. This free program typically operates Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 6 PM.
The Month of the Military Child will also feature the Momsi Color Run on April 5 at 3 PM, which includes a mile-long route with activity and color stations. Additionally, a morning fitness event, PT in the Woods, is scheduled for April 9, followed by a family bingo night at the Drew Pippen Youth Center.
A notable event, the second annual Night at the Museum Lock-In, will take place on April 11 at the Fort Leonard Wood Museum Complex, currently operating with a waitlist for participants. The month will conclude with Momsiepalooza on April 26, featuring bounce houses, music, food trucks, and various activities at Gerlach Track and Collier Park.
Ongoing community events include Taco Tuesdays at the Persian Community Center and a Turn It Teal fitness event at Davidson Gym, aimed at raising awareness for harassment prevention.
