During the recent Board of Education meeting for the School District of Janesville, student representative Grace Marotta from Craig High School highlighted several noteworthy developments within the school's athletic and extracurricular programs.

Marotta reported a significant increase in student participation in fall sports, with a total of 422 athletes registered this year, marking an increase of approximately 54 students compared to the previous year. Football and volleyball saw the most substantial growth, with football participation rising from 113 to 145 students and volleyball from 69 to 92 students. This surge in athletic involvement reflects a growing enthusiasm for sports among students at Craig High School.

The Craig Link Crew successfully organized Freshman Day, helping new students acclimate to the school environment through group activities. The Craig Girls Swim Team also engaged in community fundraising through an event called "Splash for Cash," where participants donated to swim, showcasing the team's commitment to both athletics and community support.

As homecoming approached, various clubs and sports at Craig elected nominees for the homecoming court, culminating in the announcement of George Green and Kate DeGraff as the homecoming king and queen during a pep assembly.
