Residents of Northborough are set to benefit from a new municipal electricity aggregation program, Northborough Power Choice, aimed at providing a more stable electricity supply and promoting clean energy. The initiative was introduced during a public forum held on March 27, 2025, where town officials and representatives from Mass Power Choice outlined the program's objectives and benefits.
Diane Wackle, the assistant town administrator, welcomed attendees and introduced Marlena Patton from Mass Power Choice, the consulting firm assisting Northborough in launching this program. Patton emphasized that Northborough Power Choice is designed specifically for the town's residents and businesses, ensuring that only local accounts can participate. This program is part of a broader trend, with over 200 municipalities in Massachusetts already implementing similar initiatives.
