Summertown High School gains approval for football complex parking lot plans

The Lawrence County School System Board of Education made significant strides in infrastructure development during its regular session meeting on March 27, 2025. The board unanimously approved plans for a new parking lot at Summertown High School, a move aimed at streamlining future construction efforts. In addition to the parking lot project, the board also approved a $409,882 contract with Rogers Group for repaving efforts at Summertown High School, marking the continuation of a five-year initiative to improve school parking facilities. With only two schools left to repave, the board is on track to complete this essential project soon.

Further discussions included the approval of classroom block walls at Lawrence County High School, with a contract awarded to Edwards Construction for $88,000. This upgrade aims to enhance the learning environment by replacing outdated structures.
