Evergreen Park District Community Leadership Team strengthens support for students and families

Evergreen Park ESD 124 is taking significant steps to enhance student support services through its D124 #WeConnect Webinars, as highlighted in a recent meeting on March 28, 2025. The district is prioritizing collaborative practices and inclusive programming to better address the social, emotional, and mental well-being of students and staff.

A key focus of the meeting was the District Community Leadership Team (DCLT), which has been active for three years. This team, comprising various community stakeholders, aims to combine efforts to support students and families effectively. New partnerships have been formed this year, including the Evergreen Park Urban Barn and the Office of Citizen Services, expanding the network of resources available to the community.

The DCLT is currently conducting a community needs assessment to gather insights directly from families about their needs. This assessment includes a survey available in multiple languages, reflecting the district's commitment to inclusivity. The results will inform a comprehensive resource directory that outlines available academic supports, mental health resources, and assistance programs, ensuring families have access to vital information.

As the district moves forward, the emphasis will be on creating a tangible resource guide and determining effective ways to share this information with the community. This initiative underscores Evergreen Park ESD 124's dedication to fostering a supportive environment for all students and their families, paving the way for improved educational outcomes and community engagement.
