Wasatch Aquatic Center projects showcase student creativity and community involvement

A vibrant collaboration between Wasatch County high school students and the community is taking center stage, showcasing the power of creativity and teamwork. During the Wasatch County School Board Study Session on March 25, 2025, students shared their experiences working on a project with R and R, a local organization dedicated to enhancing community engagement through art.

The students expressed their excitement about how the project has brought the community together, emphasizing the positive impact of their work. One student noted, "It's really an honor... just to be working with my teammates," highlighting the personal growth and connections formed throughout the process. Another student mentioned the joy of collaborating with diverse individuals to bring a single idea to fruition, stating, "I've really enjoyed making the mood board and just helping R and R out."

The project aims to create lasting installations at the Wasatch Aquatic Center, with materials designed for longevity and adaptability. Future students will have the opportunity to contribute to these installations, ensuring that the art remains dynamic and reflective of the community's evolving spirit. "We hope that future CATS students will be able to work on another project and change different themes," one student explained.
