Estes reported that she and Bobby Dawkins attended a training session for the Wyoming Choice Gas program, which has been operational since 1996. During this session, they received a check for Torrington amounting to $14,079.53. These funds are designated for special community projects, which have previously included scholarships for Eastern Wyoming College, improvements to local parks, and support for youth sports programs.

Estes emphasized the importance of this initiative, noting that it was established to address rising gas rates that were affecting community members. The program will be open for balloting from April 3 to April 23, 2025, with eligible residents receiving ballots in the mail. Estes assured residents that assistance is available for those who need help with the balloting process, whether in person or online.
In addition to the gas program update, Estes shared that the Goshen County Library has been awarded a grant for ADA-compliant shelving, further benefiting the community. The council expressed gratitude for the Wyoming Community Gas program and its positive impact on Torrington.
