The department, which consists of 16 dedicated team members, plays a crucial role in attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse workforce across the county's 22 departments.
Key highlights from the meeting included the department's commitment to employee relations, labor relations, and benefits administration. In 2024, the HR team conducted approximately 50 investigations to address employee complaints and support conflict resolution. They also manage contracts with 13 unions and guilds, overseeing collective bargaining agreements and grievance processes.
