York County Visitors Bureau launches new app for local exploration

The York County Board of Commissioners held a regular meeting on April 1, 2025, where several key updates were discussed, including the launch of a new mobile app by the York County Visitors Bureau and personnel changes within the community enhancement department.

The meeting highlighted the introduction of the "Experience York County" app, which is now available for both Android and Apple users. This app aims to engage local residents and tourists by providing information on shopping, dining, entertainment, and accommodations in the area. Additionally, it features a community calendar and a directory of services, enhancing connectivity within the community.

Tristan Perry, the community enhancement director, introduced Nick Marsden as the new adult services coordinator. Marsden, who is in his third week of service, expressed enthusiasm about his role and the collaborative efforts within the community. The department is also working on relocating some operations to the Development Building and has recently hired new case workers.

In other updates, the zoning administrator informed the board about a scheduling change for an upcoming zoning board meeting, which will now take place after the originally planned date of April 21.
