Alamo Heights student Mahalia Hudson wins Battle of Flowers essay contest

In a vibrant gathering at the Alamo Heights Independent School District (AHISD) board meeting on March 19, 2025, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement as students showcased their remarkable achievements. The evening began with a spotlight on creativity and innovation, featuring a unique math game called "Lilypad Logic." Designed by students, this engaging game not only included colorful frog-themed pieces but also challenged players with word problems and reflection cards, making math fun and interactive. The students' hard work paid off, as they became the first from their school to reach the national level in a competitive event.
