Staff reported low direct public response to RTP outreach so far: 34 survey responses and two community meetings with limited attendance. Schwine and COG staff said project‑level outreach tends to generate the most feedback—for example, when a specific roundabout or transit route is proposed. Board member Scott urged the plan to reflect local priorities, including measures the city is exploring such as downtown circulation and golf‑cart access.

COG staff outlined the near‑term schedule: draft projects and the financial element will be posted for public comment by the end of July; an environmental review of the plan will follow; and staff are aiming for adoption in October 2025. Schwine and staff said staff will continue outreach by attending existing community events—fairs, markets and local festivals—rather than relying solely on stand‑alone RTP meetings.
