Aiden Bright launches Leading With Purpose Scholarship for Lake City student leaders

During the recent City Council meeting in Lake City, South Carolina, a significant initiative was unveiled aimed at empowering local students through the newly established Leading With Purpose Scholarship. This scholarship is designed to recognize and support students who demonstrate exceptional leadership, integrity, and a commitment to service within the community.

Aiden Bright, a proud graduate of Lake City Early College High School and current freshman at the University of South Carolina, presented the scholarship via a video message. He emphasized that the scholarship is not merely a financial award but an investment in the next generation of leaders. Inspired by the biblical verse Jeremiah 29:11, which speaks of hope and a prosperous future, the scholarship aims to uplift students who are already making a difference in their schools and communities.

For its inaugural year, the Leading With Purpose Scholarship will award two recipients—one from Lake City High School and one from J. Paul Truett Creative Arts and Science Magnet School. Bright also introduced the scholarship committee, which includes dedicated individuals focused on student success and community leadership.
