A significant development project took center stage at the Palm Beach Gardens City Council meeting on April 3, 2025, as council members unanimously approved the final entry feature for the Avenir Development. This new feature, located on the western edge of Panther National Boulevard, is designed to complement existing entry points and enhance the community's aesthetic appeal.
Ken Timmer from Urban Design Studio presented the design, highlighting its use of oolite stone, water features, and a distinctive iron ore cupola. The entry feature stands 26 feet tall and spans 43 feet in length, adorned with lush landscaping that includes bougainvillea and royal palms. Timmer emphasized that the design mirrors previous entry features, ensuring a cohesive look throughout the development.
