Scituate Town Council honors John Gorham's legacy with official proclamation

Beyond his legal career, Gorham made a lasting impact through his leadership roles, including chairman of the Champlin Foundation, where he helped distribute millions in grants to nonprofit organizations across Rhode Island. He also founded the Champlin Scholars Program at Brown University, providing scholarships to local public school graduates.

Gorham's community involvement extended to various organizations, including the Lions Club, the North Scituate Public Library, and the Scituate Foster Little League. The council expressed deep sadness over his passing, recognizing his legacy and the void his absence leaves in the community.
