In the heart of Brookshire, Texas, the City Council meeting on April 3rd buzzed with excitement as representatives from Grundfos, the world’s largest pump manufacturer, unveiled ambitious plans for expansion. The company, which has called Brookshire its U.S. headquarters since acquiring Packo Pumps in the early 2000s, is eager to double its business in the U.S. by 2030, a move that could significantly impact the local economy.
At the meeting, Grundfos representatives highlighted their commitment to sustainability and innovation, showcasing their LEED Platinum building on Kumi Road, completed in early 2021. This facility, designed to be environmentally friendly, uses only a fraction of the municipal water supply typical for a building of its size. The company aims to replicate this sustainable model in a new manufacturing plant, which they hope to establish in Brookshire.
