Dublin City Council members received an exciting update on the upcoming Memorial Tournament during their meeting on April 7, 2025. Sullivan shared that the tournament will feature a smaller field of 72 top players from the PGA Tour, competing for a substantial prize pool of $20 million. The event will be broadcasted internationally, reaching audiences in 233 countries, showcasing Dublin as a premier destination for golf.

Sullivan announced that the Legends Luncheon on April 15 will honor Barbara Nicholas, a notable figure in the tournament's history, and is expected to raise over $1 million for charity.
The council was informed about various events planned for the tournament week, including a benefit concert, a family night at Safari, and a salute to service honoring military personnel. Sullivan emphasized the importance of community involvement, noting that over 3,500 volunteers will assist in the event's operations, which is crucial for its success.
The council also discussed the anticipated completion of the Bogey Inn, a venue associated with the tournament, aiming for a grand opening by the 2026 Memorial Tournament.
