Issaquah launches community survey and seeks Fourth of July commission members

In addition to the survey, the council is actively recruiting members for the Fourth of July Commission. The meeting also announced the return of the Sustainability Fair on April 26, in honor of Earth Month. Scheduled at the Pickering Barn from 9 AM to 2 PM, this year's fair promises to be larger and more engaging than previous events, featuring a preview of the Issaquah Farmers Market among other activities.

Furthermore, nominations are open for the Issaquah Hall of Fame Award, which honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the community. The award will be presented at the Chamber of Commerce's annual community awards event on June 3, with a nomination deadline of April 30.

In a heartwarming moment, Council President noted the appointment of Council Member Zhang as the alternate member to the East Side Transportation Partnership. The meeting concluded with a reflection on Arbor Day, where volunteers, including young children and seniors, planted 75 trees in Confluence Park, showcasing the community's commitment to environmental stewardship.
