Jones Intermediate celebrates inaugural students of the month Jude Scott and Samantha Figueroa

The Forney Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees meeting on March 3, 2025, highlighted the achievements of students at Jones Intermediate School, marking a significant moment for the school community. The meeting began with the introduction of the first-ever "Students of the Month," Jude Scott and Samantha Figueroa, who were celebrated for their academic and personal accomplishments.

Jude Scott, a sixth grader, was recognized for his exemplary character and dedication to his studies. He is not only an active participant in the school band, playing the trumpet, but also excels in sports, particularly baseball. Jude's teachers praised him for his respectful nature and his commitment to helping classmates, embodying the values of the Jones Jayhawk community. His aspirations include attending the University of Texas to pursue a career as either a professional baseball player or a lawyer.

Samantha Figueroa, also in sixth grade, was acknowledged for her involvement in the dual language academy and her musical talents with the clarinet. Samantha's teachers commended her responsibility and kindness, noting her role as a positive influence among her peers. She dreams of attending Harvard University to become a heart or brain surgeon, showcasing her ambition and dedication to her education.

The celebration of these students not only highlights their individual achievements but also reflects the supportive environment fostered at Jones Intermediate School.
