Forney ISD is making significant strides in enhancing educational opportunities for its students and families, as highlighted during the Board of Trustees meeting on March 3, 2025. A key focus of the meeting was the ongoing construction projects, particularly the roof work, which is progressing on schedule and within budget. The construction team is also set to begin pouring the shared access road soon, marking another milestone in the district's development efforts.
In addition to infrastructure improvements, the district is excited to announce the expansion of its Pre-K program to all neighborhood campuses for the 2025-2026 school year. This initiative aims to increase accessibility for families, promote early parental engagement, and improve kindergarten readiness. Current Pre-K offerings at Clavin, Criswell, Crosby, Dewberry, Henderson, and Wilson will now include Blackburn, Griffin, Johnson, Lewis, and Willett, providing more families with the opportunity to enroll their children in early education.

Additionally, five new academies will be introduced at the OC, including a Theater Academy, Coding and Robotics Academy, and Entrepreneurship and Global Leadership Academy, catering to students in grades four through seven.
These developments reflect Forney ISD's commitment to enhancing educational access and quality for its community, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their academic journeys. As these initiatives roll out, the district anticipates a positive impact on student enrollment and engagement, fostering a stronger connection between families and their local schools.
