Pflugerville City officials announced plans for a new multi-generational recreation center that promises to be a significant addition to the community and the second largest of its kind in Texas. The facility, which will span over 40,000 square feet, is designed to cater to a wide range of recreational activities and community events.
The center will feature four high school basketball courts, eight middle school-sized basketball courts, and four volleyball courts, making it a hub for sports enthusiasts. Additionally, it will include 12 pickleball courts, reflecting the growing popularity of the sport. A fitness and cardio area will occupy the second floor, providing ample space for exercise and wellness activities.

The design also incorporates an indoor turf area, which is relatively rare among similar facilities, along with a unique turf ramp connecting the first-floor turf area to the fitness center above. This innovative design aims to enhance workout opportunities for users.
The center will also include an adventure track with a figure-eight design, offering various workout options, including stairs and other fitness challenges. To accommodate community gatherings, a 300-person event space and several classrooms will be available on the top floor.
