Students Kevin and Liberty lead campus tour for incoming eighth graders

As the sun cast a warm glow over the Rosamond High School campus, two enthusiastic eighth graders, Kevin and Liberty, embarked on a lively tour designed to welcome new students. Their mission was clear: to familiarize incoming students with the layout and offerings of their new school environment.

“Hey, did you know you’re wearing on campus?” Kevin asked, sparking curiosity. Liberty, eager to share, responded, “Let me show you!” The duo guided their peers through the bustling grounds, pointing out key locations. They began at the entrance gate, where students check in with their IDs, and moved towards the bus area, ensuring newcomers knew where to catch their rides.

As they strolled, Liberty highlighted the school’s office and the old cafeteria, promising updates on the new cafeteria’s arrival. The tour continued through the 506 quad, showcasing classrooms dedicated to electives and health classes, including a special mention of the Hope Squad class, which focuses on mental health awareness.

The excitement grew as they approached the construction site for the new cafeteria, where students would soon enjoy both indoor and outdoor dining options. Kevin and Liberty also pointed out various specialized classrooms, including those for welding, auto mechanics, sociology, and drama, painting a picture of a diverse educational landscape.

The tour wrapped up with a visit to the gym and the library, essential hubs for student life. As they passed the Hundred Quad, primarily home to math and science classes, the conversation shifted to sports. Kevin asked Hector, a fellow student, about his college sports aspirations, leading to a light-hearted exchange about future plans.
