Long Beach unveils plans for new entertainment hub and hiring center initiatives

Long Beach is set to become a major entertainment hub with the announcement of the new Long Beach Bowl, scheduled to open in fall 2025. This exciting development was highlighted during a recent government meeting, where officials emphasized the facility's potential to host 10,000 to 12,000 attendees for live performances, promising unforgettable experiences for both residents and visitors.

The Long Beach Bowl will be operated by Legends and ASM Global, recognized leaders in premium live events. This venue aims to not only enhance the local entertainment scene but also support small businesses in the area, creating a vibrant atmosphere for community engagement.

In addition to the bowl, city leaders discussed ongoing efforts to address homelessness, revealing a 21% increase in shelter bed capacity and a 45% rise in successful enrollments in permanent supportive housing programs. They also outlined plans for housing growth aimed at seniors and first-time homebuyers, alongside a streamlined hiring process to employ new officers within 90 days.
