City plans $5M construction for wastewater treatment upgrades and septic receiving station

The City of Defiance is set to enhance its wastewater management system following a recent council meeting where officials approved a significant construction project. The council has decided to roll a new phase of wastewater treatment improvements into the existing WPCLF construction loan, which is expected to cover essential services until 2027.

The project, estimated at approximately $5 million, will focus on upgrading the headworks and septic receiving station.
