Minnesota Zoo director John Frawley addresses funding cuts to the state agency

The Minnesota Zoo is facing a significant funding crisis, with a proposed budget cut of nearly $1.65 million, representing over a 40% reduction from previous years. During a recent meeting of the House Legacy Finance Committee, Zoo Director John Frawley emphasized the critical impact of these cuts on the zoo's operations and programs. Currently, only 37% of the zoo's funding comes from the state, making it reliant on additional revenue sources to maintain its extensive offerings.
