North Miami CRA conducts lottery for 40 affordable housing units at Nomi's development

The event, led by Executive Director Annabelle Emmanuel, utilized a transparent selection process through random.org, ensuring fairness in the lottery for applicants.

During the meeting, Emmanuel explained that all applicants were assigned unique codes, which were used to randomly select the winners. A live screenshot of the selection process was shared, allowing attendees to witness the drawing in real-time. The results of the lottery were made available immediately online and at the CRA office, located at 735 Northeast 120 Fifth Street. Additionally, applicants could obtain results by phone, ensuring accessibility for all participants.

Emmanuel expressed gratitude to those who attended and congratulated the selected applicants, emphasizing the importance of this initiative in providing affordable housing options in North Miami. The selected individuals will be contacted by CRA staff to guide them through the next steps in securing their new homes.
