CGMS honors outstanding students and staff for academic excellence and dedication

The CGESD Governing Board Meeting held on March 11, 2025, celebrated the achievements of outstanding students and staff at CGMS. The meeting highlighted the core values of excellence, integrity, compassion, service, and collaboration that define the school community.

During the recognition segment, several students were honored for their academic and extracurricular accomplishments. Bella was commended for her consistent academic success, earning all A's while also helping her peers and fostering friendships. Jessa was recognized for her responsibility and dedication, completing assignments on time and actively participating in the outdoor club. Anastasia Kelly was celebrated for her versatility, balancing academics with athletics, including a recent conference championship win in volleyball. Annabella Day Jesus was acknowledged for her meticulous work and positive attitude, while Noah was praised for his kindness and significant academic growth.

The meeting also recognized staff contributions, starting with Leona Edermia, a paraprofessional in a special education classroom, noted for her dependability and advocacy for students. Janice Flores, a sixth-grade social studies teacher, was named the certified staff member of the month for her innovative teaching practices and positive relationships with students.
