St Mary's County recognizes volunteers for firefighting and rescue support initiatives

St. Mary's County is set to enhance its support for volunteer emergency responders following a recent meeting of the Emergency Services Board. The board discussed the proposed Volunteer Firefighter and Rescue Squad Response Rewards Program, which aims to recognize and reward the dedication of local volunteers who serve the community.

During the meeting, board members expressed gratitude to key contributors involved in developing the program, including Deputy County Administrator Dave England and Department of Emergency Services (DES) Director Jen Utz.
