Putnam County updates on St John's Harbor Plant and boat ramp projects

The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting on April 8, 2025, focused on several key updates regarding local infrastructure and community projects. Initial designs include parking areas, with approximately 70 spots planned for Duns Creek.

Additionally, Commissioner Harvey raised concerns about the timeline for the new animal control building, which has faced delays. Holmes expressed hope for a grand opening by summer.

In a final note, Commissioner Alexander shared that grant writer Sam Sullivan has submitted a request for engineering funding for an additional boat ramp on the south side of Duns Creek, indicating promising developments for future recreational access.
