The Kennedale Police Department has achieved a remarkable milestone, receiving the prestigious FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (LEEDA) Trilogy Award. This honor was presented during the February 18, 2024, City Council meeting by Greg Hamilton, retired Travis County sheriff and past president of FBI LEEDA.
Hamilton praised the department for its commitment to professional excellence, noting that the award is only given to law enforcement agencies whose entire command staff has completed the rigorous FBI LEEDA Trilogy leadership series. This series includes supervisory, command, and executive leadership training, underscoring the department's dedication to leadership and community service.
With this achievement, the Kennedale Police Department becomes only the 21st agency in Texas to earn this distinction and one of just 84 recipients nationwide since the award's inception. Hamilton expressed gratitude to the city council for their support, emphasizing that such accomplishments are made possible through collaborative efforts.
As the department celebrates this significant recognition, it stands as a testament to their leadership and commitment to serving the Kennedale community effectively.
