Putnam County reviews zoning amendment from agriculture to commercial for North State Road 21

In a recent meeting of the Putnam County Planning Commission, discussions centered around a proposed zoning amendment that could reshape a vacant parcel on North State Road 21. The site, currently designated for agricultural use, is being considered for a change to commercial general zoning, a move that has garnered the support of planning staff.

As the meeting unfolded, officials highlighted the parcel's strategic location, boasting approximately 240 feet of road frontage. Notably, the land does not appear to contain wetlands and is classified within FEMA flood Zone X, indicating a lower risk of flooding.
